Our flight nurses have an average of over 15 years of critical care experience. Once hired at Hospital Wing, they go through vigorous orientation lasting approximately 3 months. The flight nurses at Hospital Wing are trained in advanced procedures such as intubation and chest tube insertion. We transport many types of patients: trauma, cardiac (including balloon pumps), pediatric, neuro, burn, and other types of medicine patients. Approximately half of our flight nurses also maintain current paramedic licensure.
