HOSPITAL WING FLIGHT PARAMEDICS
Hospital Wing's paramedic staff now includes four flight paramedics. The qualifications for our flight paramedics are:
- Current Paramedic License in the States of TN, MS and AR or State Paramedic License and National Registry
- Minimum of 5 years experience in paramedic pre-hospital experience including 2-3 years experience with an advanced life support, high volume service.
- Minimum of one year employment in a hospital setting with emergency or intensive care experience
- Must maintain current BLS, ACLS and PALS provider certifications.
- Must maintain current BTLS or PHTLS certifications.
- Must maintain weight of 200 lbs or less.
As the nature of the Wing's operations expanded over the years, Hospital Wing has employed their first paramedics as crew members. Beginning in 2008, our new comrades will bring a new and different range of expertise to our program. Our paramedics were chosen as the "cream of the crop" in our community with both field and hospital experience. After a rigorous three month orientation, they are now eager and ready to bring a broader level of critical care to those we serve.
